What is a 5 photo story?
Wes Fryer defines the 5 photo story as "a collection of five images which tell a story of some kind without using supplementary text, audio, or video. The five photos should 'stand alone' as a story."
We're doing a bit of a remix on that. We're providing you with the five photos and asking your students to be creative and write the narrative that goes along with them. Let your students' imaginations run wild - what story will they tell? Share it with us, and we'll publish it on the site.
Are you wanting to be more focused on your curriculum or develop your own story? That's great! Take your own photos, or better yet, have your students take their own photos, and write about those. You'll find ideas for connecting to different content on the "Lesson Ideas" page under the "More..." tab. Send us your photos and story and we'll post those too!
You'll find resources, workflow ideas, app/website ideas, and examples from Dr. Wesley Fryer on the "5 Photos Resources" page under the "More..." tab, and please don't hesitate to email us at 5photos@aea8.k12.ia.us with your questions or for more information!
